Financial Aid and Scholarships

Explorations Academy has never turned away a student for lack of financial resources. We know tuition can be a barrier to attendance, but with our Financial Aid Program, families know they have access to an education that matters for their child. Our Financial Aid Program has assisted low-income youth who might not otherwise have been able to fund an education that matters.

Our Financial Aid Program has helped an average of 50% our students attend our school over the past five years.  Tuition does not fully cover the cost of providing the excellent education we offer. The balance is made up through contributions from donors like you. This year, our financial aid need is just about $82,000.

The Annual Campaign Fund

Will you partner with us in providing an education that matters…to our students, to families, to community. All gifts made to the Annual Campaign Fund are unrestricted and benefit the school as a flexible resource that allows Explorations Academy to meet operational and administrative needs – critical resources for any school.

Our Philanthropic Base

At Explorations Academy, we depend upon our donors, whose gifts comprise a substantial portion of our annual revenue. These individuals, families and businesses support our work with young people with gifts ranging from under $10 to those exceeding $10,000. We also receive in-kind gifts of furniture, computers, and other supplies.  Please take a moment to look at our Donations Wish List.  Every single donor is important and every one is deeply appreciated.  Because we are a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, all gifts to Explorations Academy and our component programs are deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Types of Gifts

Unrestricted Gifts

These gifts are made in cash or by check and are the simplest way to support our work with young people.

In-Kind Gifts

We accept many kinds of furniture, equipment, and supplies when they match the needs of our programs.

Gifts of Stock and other Appreciated Assets

We can often maximize the tax advantage to our donors by accepting appreciated assets as gifts.

Sponsorships

Donors at times support specific functions, events, and programs through a sponsorship arrangement.

Pledges

Gifts can be made over time, at a certain pledge amount per month, quarter, or year.

Bequests and other Planned Gifts

Longer-range gifts of many types can be arranged; these are customized to meet the donor’s needs.

Referrals

Even for those not able to give, referrals of donors are extremely valuable to our effort to raise needed funds. Please contact us for details about referring a donor or to learn more about any of the giving strategies mentioned above.
